Executive Catering Chef
Evan Young is the Executive Catering Chef for Quality Branded’s Park Avenue Summer Catered Events. Originally from Hawaii, Evan grew up working in the hospitality industry in restaurants across Oahu beginning at the young age of 15. He moved to New York in 2009 and, while studying at the Culinary Institute of America (CIA), Evan completed an externship with Quality Branded at the original Park Avenue (Autumn/Winter/Spring/Summer) alongside Executive Chef & Partner Craig Koketsu. Upon graduating from the CIA in 2011, Evan joined the front-of-house team at Quality Meats and two years later he was tapped to join the back-of-house opening team at Quality Italian New York. He went on to help open the group’s modern Italian-American restaurant, Don Angie, in 2017 as a front-of-house veteran. Later that year, he also assisted with front-of-house staff training for the opening of Quality Italian in Denver. Most recently, Evan led front-of-house training for the opening of Quality Branded’s newest restaurant, Quality Bistro, a steak-centric brasserie located in Midtown.
